The AC-47 mentioned in the above article as the war plane that was lost in the Vietnam War...1965 I believe it was...Down in the PHOTOS Steve had posted my pictures of the war under Chief Wilborn's...please take a look at the C-54 I took pictures of in DaNang in 1969....the Ghost on the fuselage...hence, SPOOKY....it had just returned from a local mission of 'hoseing' down the old French ammo dump that was supposed to be 'clean'...Several days prior Builder 1st Class (E-6) Charlie Jones had taken a crew in to lay concertina wire...When Charlie dismounted from the duece/half cab, he stepping dead- on to an old anti-personnel mine called a 'Bouncing Betty'....both parts of Jonesy were retrieved by Hosptial Corpsman Burdin who had crawled in to try and save Jonesy...Burdin would later recieve the Bronze for his bravery...Chief
