I really haven't been looking forward to dealing with him again. No need for the details here, but I can get quite frustrated with him. This passage in Colossians is spot on. Now, if only I can adhere to the directive.
Todays': One of the amazing things is these are all defeats that Israel is remembering. Yet, in spite of these massive defeats, God has kept the people of Israel going over all these years. God is a faithful God. He has done the same with His chosen people all through history, Israelites, and Christians. Lots of things going on right now make the world look gloomy, but God is still in control. We can't ever forget that.
1 Samuel 2:8-10
“ He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the ash heap
To make them sit with nobles, And inherit a seat of honor;
For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, And He set the world on them.
He keeps the feet of His godly ones, But the wicked ones are silenced in darkness;
For not by might shall a man prevail.
Those who contend with the Lord will be shattered;
Against them He will thunder in the heavens,
The Lord will judge the ends of the earth;
And He will give strength to His king,
And will exalt the horn of His anointed.”
Thanks again, Terry.
