I was wondering is the Spaz 12 legal in MD or in the US I know it was banned but, is it still banned.
And if I can't buy it are there any varients that still offer the dual fire modes?

As far as I know, it is a class 3 weapon. It is not imported now. I don't think that there is anything else like it anywhere.

If you're refering to the Franchi made 12 gauge that you can switch from pump to semi-auto, a quick google search showed a few for sale. $1000+ prices on them.

They don't even make them anymore and haven't for 12 years.

It is not considered classIII. You just cant find them. If you find a Law 12 it was a better shotgun for less money.

I sold mine a few years back to a dealer in California for $900-
![]() They have a few notable characteristics... They are absurdly heavy, clumsy and complicated. Models with the lever safety, like mine was, tend to go BOOM when the safety is applied. ![]() www.spas12.com

They are NOT NFA weapons. ( class 3 is the SOT the dealer has in addition to the FFL a class 2 SOT can also sell them as can a class 1 SOT) they are just shotguns. Though some states MAY have problems with them but I do not know what ones those may be.
