Default Request prayers for my wife

For months now my wife has endured difficult times at work. She loves her work, and has a great relationship with her clients and fellow workers. She had done exemplary work for the department. However her immediate supervisor seems to have it in for her and has been undermining her every way she can, from making ageist remarks to questioning her competence to giving her a verbal dressing down in the presence of her colleagues and clients--all things designed to destroy here self-confidence. This supervisor has already hounded another member of staff out.

My wife has just about had enough and is ready to quit. She has meetings with a number of people next week to discuss matters.

Could you please pray with me that this supervisor would get straightened out; that my wife's confidence would be built up in these meetings and that the meetings would be productive, and that she would be able to carry on with her work without unnecessary interference.

Thanks.

I was in a similar situation at one time. I know how hard this is. Have her pray for this individual fervently, that Father God would intervene, and cause them to be moved out of the area. Maybe it is time for her to pursue another opportunity. Fast and pray, and continue to trust Father God to show you what to do.

Prayers for a satisfactory resolution. Tell her to stay determined.

Prayers sent that she can get through this and keep her chin up. I hate it when someone thinks they've got to bring others down in order for them to look good.

Went through it last month......[for a year and lost ???]
I am sure you can't see it at the moment.....
and I am sure it appears that a loss of her job would be
devastating for you guy's livelihood.......
Give it to God...together, holding each other's hand.......
[I know that sounds cheesy]
Everything happens for a reason, I firmly believe it in my heart.....
doubt what I believe.....then WHY does it seem so wacko and wrong
that her boss would be gunning for your wife when she does her job well...
it doesn't make any sense......and THAT is the part that makes sense.....
does that make sense ?

I would and will be glad to pray with you,
I am not insensitive ........{sorry I left that out
in the above reply}.......
I AM NOT religious, but deeply spiritual, and pray
for your content and happiness.
Only something great will come of this......
if you both keep your hearts focused on the positive
and ridicule the negative.

Lord, I come to you this morning upholding BlackEagle's wife.
You know what she is dealing with, Father, and I ask that you would give her a touch of strength that she might bear up under this.
I ask that you would restore her damaged self-confidence.
I believe, Lord, that any supervisor who verbally disciplines an employee in front of others is in the wrong line of work. I ask that you would deal with this person, influencing them to either educate themselves in proper supervisory activity, or to seek another position with this - or another - company.
I ask, Father, that you would deal with this situation quickly -

And I ask these things in the Holy name of Jesus the Christ, the good shepherd.

Amen -

She talked with three people today who were very supportive, and quite cross with the way she has been treated. They offered some helpful suggestions ie: talk to Human Relations (Personnell) about the situation, and to the Occupational Health doctor.

The manager of her unit was compassionate, listened carefully to what my wife had to say and responded with "Why didn't you come to me sooner with this?" My wife responded that the person harrassing her, her immediate supervisor, had said not to say anything about it to anyone else. It will be interesting to see where that goes.

Now to top it all off, she pulled a muscle in her back over the weekend, so her doctor signed her off work for two weeks.

I'm just glad God is really in control, whether we remember that or not.

Thanks again for the prayers, all. Will continue to keep you posted.

Thanks again, all, for the prayers. My wife just asked if I could put this update on the thread:

Quote:
I have just recieved a summons to a meeting with manager and HR next Thursday 27th at 08:30 feel it may be my turn to start turning things around. covet prayers.
Could you please pray that this would be a profitable meeting and that the bullying, intimidation, and personnel mismanagement would come to light and be dealt with. That the right people would be at that meeting who would present a balanced, true view of my wife and the situation. At the very least that this supervisor would get off my wife's case.

I will continue the prayers as well, BlackEagle.

And to any that read that insulting and belittling message before I got it deleted:

Christ was very clear that we are to come to God in prayer over EVERYTHING, not just life-and-death issues. In fact, we are to pray "without ceasing".
