Default Vintage Rifle Stock ID.

Let me start by saying any help in this would be greatly appreciated. Came across this Vintage Rilfe stock, just trying to come up with what it is. Also if its worth trying to get a parts gun or kit for. Or if it's just a gun shaped wood club! It's 27" and i will post as many Pic.s as i can. My rookie eye tells me it's bolt action, shot a rifle round and thats about it. I spent hours on line looking at vintage rifle pics and the only thing i came up with is that i need more vintage rifles lol. thanks again for any help! http://www.flickr.com/photos/89674921@N08/

My guess is that it's from a Japanese Type 99 7.7mm. The two piece join, cupped buttplate, and rear sling swivel placement kinda point in that direction.
