Default Do you wear a sidearm at home?

I don't.
I am constantly in and out of my condo and though it would be perfectly legal it would just weird out the neighbors....neighbors who have been very gracious about accepting my other weirdnesses.

Instead, I have guns hidden within reach all over the house.

Of course if things got weird, the handgun worn on my side would be the least alarming thing I would be carrying.

Absolutely, and when i'm not dressed to actually wear it (wearing my sweat pants relaxing in the evening) i'll have one on the coffee table right next to me. I'm armed almost 24 hours a day.

If you see me with my pants on, I am armed.

If you see me without my pants on, you had better be BB&E (Blonde, Buxom & Eager )

Don't be worried about weirding out the neighbors. One of my neighbors is a lib and don't like it (he's told me so) and my other neighbor is a 80 something year old widow. I'm always helping her out and she is very comfortable with it.

If I'm awake, I'm armed. If I'm asleep, it's within arms reach.

Always carrying a gun, no.

Always near a gun well yes (3 right now), and pepperspray everywhere, knives everywhere, and always alert.

Always, from the time the pants go on till they come off. If for some strange reason I'm running around the house in PJ's (not often) then I either carry it or it's at hand. When I'm in bed it's on the nightstand about a foot away.

Yes. And screw what your neighbors might think. If they don't like it, they can move.

And if they moved I would lose three or four excellent neighbors.
I've lived in this condo for 30+ years and the current crop is the best set of neighbors I've ever had.

I have no problem with taking two seconds to throw on a photographers vest to conceal my carry pistol when outside.
I'm not out in the country, I'm in the Buckhead Business District.

I put my gun on before my socks in the morning and it only comes off to get a shower or go to bed. I have a gun in every room and always by my side. If I have my pants on, my gun is on. As for neighbors, I live on acreage and everyone around here shoots and carrys, but I sure wouldnt let a liberal change the way I carried. Screw em.

I live WAY out in the boondox, and have a fur covered alarm system in the house all the time, so I don't usually carry indoors, although I am never more than five seconds from a variety of loaded weapons. If I step outside, though, I am wearing open carry with 18 rounds. If I am leaving the property, I am CCW with 52 rounds.

About two months ago my brother came to my house. We were in the garage and he began threatening me. I just contimued to keep reloading. Then I turned and walked over and bent down to grab a peice of paper from the floor and I purposely let him see my revolver. Suddenly he gasped. He was mortified and I told him, "You stupid dumdass, didn't you know I never go anywhere without my gun. Hell, I don't even mow the lawn without it. Now get out of my house before I throw you out (he has never been able to beat me in a fight, he, he, he).

What good would a gun do me if a threat came through my door and I was anywhere but where my gun was?

Answer is NONE.

I usaually have my SP101 on. Then when I go to Walmart I am ready.

In the house there are many guns, well placed. Right now I'm not dressed to go anywhere, so there are guns within inches of me. When I get dressed to go out of the house, I always have one on me. As long as I'm dressed to go, I'm armed. If I need to take the dog out, I have a house coat on a chair in the living room, where I am, a pistol beside me, and one at the door. I live in the country, and on occasion the dogs outside start to bark, I stand up to look out the window, and pick up a gun as I do so. You never know! It's almost a hundred yards to the road form the house, so there are also rifles to the right of the door.

since I carry concealed.. yeah.. I guess i do carry around the house.

when I leave in the morning I'm carrying.. thus walking thru the house.. and when I get home.. i walk out.. feed the horses.. let the dogs out.. etc.. etc.. so i am carrying then to.

again.. it's concealed though.

of couse.. it's not like my neighbor hasn't seen me unload long bbld things from my truck on a morning after a hunt.. or coming home from a show.. etc.

That was a Chippendales moment!

I have one in the house and another in the garage, a third down at work with me during the week.

Concealed at all times. Most of the neighbors don't have the foggiest idea that I'm armed. I know two other neighbors the carry concealed but we don't display even to each other even in private locations. Heck we seldom discuss carrying. It's just seems to be a generally accepted rule.

I do not generally carry at home. I am never far from a weapon but never on me. Seems like it would just be a pain in the butt. I ahve never felt unsafe on my own property though.
