Winchester M-70 358 Featherweight - The Firearms Forum

I have a Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in 358. The serial number indicates it was made in 1955. Long ago someone cut the barrel (OUCH!!) to 19 inches and replaced the stock. So I guess my question is what would a 358 Featherweight barreled action with a whacked barrel be worth. The barrel, bluing and action is in good condition. Thanks for any input!!!

Your featherweight in unaltered condition books anywhere from $800 to $1950, depending on condition. If the alterations were done professionally it could still be worth $500 to $600, but if it is a hack job you are looking at no more than $250.

The alterations were done very professionally and I have found a Pre '64 Fwt stock. I think this will be the perfect Pennsylvania black bear rifle. Plus I am a 35 caliber NUT!!! Thanks for your input!
