Nice 1911.
Remember, we will need a full range report. Feed it well and often. |

That's a beauty. Agree with Shooter, feed it well and feed it often.
Let us know how it shoots.....

![]() And this is what she looks like now. By the way, I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on those Cocobolo grips. I have an identical extra set for sale if anyone is interested. Cut for an ambi safety. Last edited by Kraigster414; 09-23-2005 at 08:25 PM.. |

Dang! Full-size grips!
I'm sitting here with an Officer-sized gun, too. [sigh] |

Latest upgrade is Novak Tritium bar sight (rear)and Novak Tritium dot on the front. I found the 2 dot rear from the factory "busy". The combination of the Tritium bar and the Tritium front is a much cleaner look and easier to pickup for these old eyes of mine. Recommend.

John K; Visit Brownells, and look at the 'skinny' grips they have for an 'Officer's Model', you have to modify, or replace, the grip screw bushings, but the end result is better 'fore and aft' registry, with a significantly slimmer grip.
My 'daily buddy' has a checkered front strap, and recoil spring housing, so the subdued checkering on the grips is no loss, rather, it reduces the tendancy to 'print', under a light shirt! I agree with all of you on the comments on the right side grip; it's gorgeous! The left side shows a totally different, generic, scale, but the pistol, taken as a whole, is AWESOME!!!
