I hope i did the picture embeding right. As you can see the .17 shots are scattered even after shooting about 100 rnds, it was worse ! It is a barrel from eabco.com , the federal, hornady and eley ammo all about the same. I doubt the grouping will get much better. All of the scattered shots are .17 and the nice groupings are all .22
The .22 is a KIDD barrel with about 200 rnds through it. Great barrel !! I won't buy anything else in the future. I was shooting from 50 yds on a bench with rest and bag in the back for both calibers from a Ruger 1022 with Kidd triggers. A bipod would have made it more steady. Im really stoked with the Kidd barrel and the Lapua Master M ammo. Damn hope I did the picture posting properly. Joe

17 's can really be squirley. you may wanna shoot a brick through it, clean the heck out of it, then put sweet shooter's throuhg it, or molycoat the bore. Before this though, i would check the free float of the stock, out at the range, make notes, then fire about 20 fast shots throuhg it , and recheck the free float, make notes, if sticky points have moved or changed, then you need to sand the inside of the stock along those sticky points

I do think it will improve with use, I have floated it real nice already, and I will try the molylube after some more use.
