My Titan 25 semi-automatic does not display the full name of the manufacturer on it. It simply has the letters F.I.E. Miami, Florida on the frame. I do not know how old this gun is but figure it's from the 40's. Can anyone tell me what the letters F.I.E. represent? Thanks!

Firearms Imports and Export Corporation. I believe that they came about in the late '70s and closed shop in the early '90s (just checked Westlaw - they filed for bankruptcy on November 8, 1990) - your gun is almost certainly from the '80s. It was manufactured in FL by FIE from Italian parts, but the pieces were by Tanfoglio in Italy (done this way to get around the small-gun import restrictions of the 1968 Gun Control Act).
