Default Marlin vs. Savage

Bolt rifle $200 or less. I LIKE tube fed rifles, but some say they aren't as accurate. It seems the Savage triggers are better, but the QC on crowns and mags is suspect. Marlin seem to put out hit or miss triggers. Opinions? Thanks.

Default Re: Marlin vs. Savage

I have a Marlin 981T with a tube and love it. It is very shoot quarter size groups at 50 yrds. Trigger was crudy at first but after the couple of cartons of shells has become very nice. My daughter has laid claim to it so in a few years i will have to shoot my 9422 more. I like tube feed 22s no clip to lose or forget. Mag tubes can come out but mostly a problem in the pickup not while hunting.
