Default .22 magnum semi-auto pistol?

Does anyone know of a semi-auto pistol chambered for .22 magnum's?
All I know of is the Grendel and it seems really cheap.
Thanks to all in advance!

grtday,
There are 2, 22 WMRF pistols currently in production. At least that is all I know of.
First is the High Standard built AMT Automag II
$ 695, Stainless steel construction, 6" barrel, Factory Pachmayr grips, 9 shot magazine.
Had alot of feed/ejection problems when I first got mine, sent it back a couple times. Finally after about 500 rounds, it seemed to get broken in, and became much more reliable, and less picky about the ammo I fed it.
Very nice looking piece. Had to order mine from thre factory. Had a very long wait time 3 months. Was about to demand my money back when I finally got the pistol. So watch out for that.
After all the problems, I am now pretty happy with the pistol.
Not a target shooter by any means, but , accuracy is okay.
Here's a pic.

The other is made by Excel Arms, MP-22
About $ 400
Stainless Steel, 8" barrel (yes, it's a handful )
9 shot magazine.
Very happy with it. Eats any ammo I feed it without complaint, After about 200 rounds, I haven't had any failures to eject or feed.
Lifetime warranty.
I bought mine from the vice president of the company. It was his personal piece that he took to shows as a demonstrator. I don't know if they all come with it, but, he gave me 2 extra mags with mine, for a total of 3 magazines!
You can also purchase an extra 17 HMR barrel.
Accuracy was excellent. I have now put a Leupold VX-III scope on it and it's a varmint's worst nightmare!!
Here's a pic

I have heard quite a bit of negative stuff about the kel tecs. Stuff like it jams up if you fully load the clip and other odd little stuff. I am not sure if they have worked out all of their manufacturing bugs. Someday I think it could be a nice gun. Kind of like cars. Have been told to stay away from the first 2 years of a new model....time to work out bugs.

I've got Grendels...waiting on the KelTecPMR-30...bloody long wait...
Grendel made the P-30 pistol, the P-31 hunting pistol, and the R-31 carbine, all off the same action/lower.
Here's a pic of the P-30 & R-31

Reliable as long as you follow the GoldenLoki.com instructions for Kel-Tec action polishing...after that, runs like a dream
http://goldenloki.com/gunsmith/keltec/fullrp.htm
Yeah, I know it shows a P3AT or PF9...but the rules of optimization are pretty much the same for any semi-auto pistol.
Even a 1911 can benefit. It also says "Reasonably Skilled"...meaning, try not to Bubba it up & use yer head.

Then its just clean after every range visit/hunting trip.

I'm thinking I'll have to use the GoldenLoki.com advise for the PMR-30 as well.

30-rds per mag pretty much eclipses all other 10-round California-sale pistols like the AMT & Excel.

I had an AMT automag II. I never had any problems with it, but didnt really like the cost of the ammo. the thing was LOUD though! Mine had the 6" barrel and would run through a clip without a hiccup. But i did hear that the older they get the worse they get with the feed and ejection problems

Overall i liked mine but YMMV if i already had a 22mag id still have mine. But i traded it for a ruger mkIII with the fluted barrel

I have the amt automag II and love it. my buddy got a new keltec but only loads 25 per magazine and has had no problems whatsoever yet. the keltec is kind of futuristic, but I am a steel man. I will pobably end up with a keltec too. Like any other semi auto, sometimes you have to find the ammo it likes.
