Boarding cutlass?

This is an old sword that has been in my family for many years. Any info would be appreciated:

looks very much like a french boearding cutlass ?

More like a French infantry short sword. While I think it's French, other countries used the same general style as the French. The navy cutlass had an entirely different type of hand guard.

It's hard to find anything like this with an original scabard. What ever it is it's a nice find.

It is French. It is the briquet, typical infantry sabre of the Napoleonic Wars. It is in very good condition and the big part is you have the scabbard. Do you happen to have the frog as well? Nice old flintlock, is it from the same era? Any info on it like maker, caliber etc?? Nice family heirlooms.
