quick question and I feel really stupid for asking this but AR's are defiantly not my strong suit. AR barrel extension. Like this one.
Why? I thought the barrel extension was part of the barrel. Are breech ends of barrels threaded and then the extension added for headspacing adjustment?

The barrel extension IS considered part of the barrel. If you buy an AR barrel, the extension will be installed already, and headspace will already be set.
