Wow, they're sweet!!! I'm looking at a Mark II for my son. It will be his first rifle and you've set the bar pretty dam high. Those are a work of art. Congrats!!

I think I like the thumb hole stock more, but they are both very nice.

Very nice looking rifles.
I have a BRJ and it's a very under rated rifle. My gunsmith did an accuracy job on mine and put his 1/8" bottom metal on it because the stock one is thin junk, pretty much the only thing wrong with the rifle. It has shot a best 5 shot group of .1" @ 50 yards. Any doubt as to why it's my favorite 22 ?? They are fantastic rim fire rifles. Savage has been improving their entire lne of rifles and now offers one of the widest selection of rimfires available. Here is a picture of mine. The BRJ's really are great rifles.
If you get the chance, try the feel of the stock, they shoulder really nice. I find it easier to hold and shoot then the thumbhole, but everyone is different. The accuracy job cut my groups down .3" @ 50 yards, best money I ever spent. John K Last edited by dksac2; 01-19-2011 at 09:52 PM.. |

I am going to get a brj 22. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it and when I picked it up I was hooked. I thought of trading my car for it and walking home. and that would have been 30 miles.

I like them both, but really like the thumb-hole stock of the two.
