Garage sale score - The Firearms Forum

Walking my dog this morning and this lady is setting up for a garage sale for this weekend. I asked her if she minds if I take a look. We get to talking and I ask her if she has any fishing or hunting stuff. It's pouring down rain and I want to get home about 5 blocks away when she says I have an old rifle for 50 bucks. She brings it out so I could see.

I told her I had 25 bucks in my wallet. She said OK.
On this "not a scratch on it" 9422M It was dusty and had some finger prints on it, but it wiped right off on my shirt. SCORE!!!!!!

j3, they have words for guy's like you but I can't say'em with ladies present. But I can say congrats on a great find, make sure to let us know how it shoots. You're one lucky dog!

I swear ... the stories on TFF. Found it in the attic, found it in granny's garage, found it in a car I bought, the dog brought it home ... LOL

I dont have any .22 mags but will get some tomorrow. And some lotto tickets.
I dont think I will keep it. I have a 99M1 and a rem. 581 and a marlin 795.
Most of my guns are for daily carry or the AR/AK family. I think I need another 1911 so I may dump this 9422

She was not old. Maybe 40 somethin' If thats old what are you calling me? I am 45.

And she offered, I just asked was all. You never know with these things. Most people hate when they are having a garage sale on SAT/SUN and people show up early. I just got lucky and have such a great personality she could not resist.
You guys should be here the day after I die when my wife has a garage sale.
My biggest fear is that my wife will sell all my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

Now if it was ME I would have GLADLY walked the 5 blocks in the freezing rain and BACK to giver her the other $25....

You know, when I get to those same sales I'm usually the NEXT customer who gets told by the old lady when I ask her if she has any guns, "you shoulda been here earlier, I just sold my old Winchester for $25...."
