Humbling experience to say the least. Bob wanted to go to the range today to sight in a Beretta Model U22 Neos (Grander Mountain $229) that he picked up for the grandkids to plink with. Well his wife Connie wanted to go along and shoot "her pistol" which is a Taurus Model 22. So we said come on along. Well she shot extremely well for no more than she shoots and with the handicap of that little Taurus which is any thing but a target gun. She marched out to the 7 yard line and fired off 9 rounds slow fire all in the black and said it took her too long to get the sights lined up for a defensive shot so we said just point and shoot so she does and puts 9 more rounds in the black. Bob and I just look at one another and shrugged.
Bob then shoots the Beretta and adjusts the red dot that he took of a cross bow and sure enough Connie wants to shoot it. Well she is at the bench using a rest shooting at the various targets and getting hits almost every time and says there is no challenge as you just put the red dot on the target and pull the trigger. Huh! So we say get around on the seat and do away with the rest as that is more of a challenge. Well we should have just shut up because she sits down and starts hitting the steel at 25, 35, & 50 yards, not every shot but many more hits than misses. No telling what will happen when we get up enough nerve to let her shoot with one of the good pistols, ha. The trigger on both the Taurus and the Beretta leave a lot to be desired. All in all another great day shooting with good friends even though it was humbling to say the least. Those girls do just what you tell them to do and have no bad habits and they will out shoot the boys if you are not careful.

Have a friend whose motto is--"get the whole family shooting-including(grand)mom, including the dog.
Mom shoots- Mom also votes... |

Looks like another fun day in the hills! Please ask Connie how much she charges for lessons!
