I paid over 40 bucks with tax. It is brass cased from looking at the cartridges. What do you think?

It will be OK for your rifle, but I've tried it and its not very accurate. I'm lucky to shoot 3 inch groups at 100 yards with my Browning Xbolt, whereas I can shoot 1 inch groups with my reloads or Hornady Vmax factory ammo.
So bottom line, if your not looking for good accuracy, it will work good. |

Don't shoot .223, but I have had very good luck with Federal. You will find that it may, or may not, be accurate in your rifle. What mine likes, yours may not, and vise versa. Every gun has one brand/weight of ammo that it likes best. Shoot it if it's cheap, and does OK. Getting the best accuracy may not come with cheap ammo.

That works out to be 40 cents a round + tax.
Check out this link on ammo. http://shop.militaryshooters.com/cat...11&pid=1031221 It works out to be 31.7 cents per round shipped to my door. Time to stock up as soon as I get my tax check back. ![]() |

benny, first, welcome to The Firearms Forum.
If your Colt single shot derringer is chambered for WMR then shoot them. If it is not chambered for WMR then you will have a hard time putting the cartridge into the chamber so don't try to force it. It could be very dangerous. Shoot the .22 shorts or LR (again, if it will chamber).

From what I was told by the previous owner used .22 LR which does fit in the chamber. However before I do that I will consult with him again.

The Colt Lord and Lady Derringers were chambered for .22 Short. I don't know offhand of any that were chambered for .22 Magnum.
