Really? Not the Secret Service but the TSA? LMAO I bet they all felt safe with the TSA clowns patting people down. Too bad the TSA isn't in charge of Presidental detail.

A security guard can be used anywhere. The fact remains that they have ZERO law enforcement authority.

i will not go somewhere the TSA is likely to be(airports and train stations). if i were stopped on the highway while traveling in my own vehicle, or approached while i was on foot and they wanted to search me i would request to see a search warrant. if they didn't have one(which would be unlikely as they would need probable cause to get one) but insisted on searching me i would warn them that if they proceeded that that would be considered assault in which case i would treat them like any other criminal.

TSA is Homeland Security! They have the same powers! Remember this:
The Mission of Homeland Security is: A prevent terrorist attacks within the United States; B reduce the vulnerability of the United States to terrorism; and C minimize the damage, and assist in the recovery, from terrorist attacks that do occur within the United States." From the Homeland Security Act of 2002 Now TSA is a member of Homeland Security, and we see them working in different areas than those listed above! Why is that?

I had an experience with the local TSA (Trash Shoveling Always) group. I went to the county landfill a day after having some medical tests that required use of a radioactive trace chemical. I was stopped and asked to pull over while I and my car were checked. No problems and everyone was polite and courteous, but they definitely wanted to make sure the radioactivity was coming from me and not from the trash.
Those sensors were set up to prevent radioactive materials, incluiding medical waste, from being dumped in the landfill. A good idea, I am sure, but a bit startling to be told that I was radioactive enough to set off the detectors. I have no idea what would have happened if I had tried to board a plane in my "glow in the dark" condition. Probably a "shoot first and check later" situation, or maybe they would be afraid that shooting would set off the "walking H-Bomb". Jim |

I'd bet that they were set up at the landfill. We have 2 scrap yards that have them and you must pass through them going in.

99.9% of people will handle them the same way they are already handling them at the airports. They are going to put up with it, let their rights be violated with unlawful searches.
It would be really nice to eliminate TSA and Homeland security and a bunch of the other departments, but in reality, who is going to do that? |

I work in a wholesale distribution warehouse and deal with OTR truckers everyday. The latest wave of immigrant truck drivers is from somewhere in eastern Europe, like maybe Bosnia. Shoes? What shoes? No speaka da english.
The average automobile driver has absolutely no idea who they are sharing the road with. I do, and it scares the heck out of me. How they can get a license and not be able to speak or read english is beyond me, I mean, how do they read road signs? Cubans out of Miami are just as bad. The good ol' boy redneck trucker is a dying breed.

Civilian police force. Hilter had his the"SA", obama has his "TSA". Notice they both has "SA" in there. Wouldn't surprise me if obama abolishes congress in November if he loses the election. He has his socialist pal in South America to show him how its done.

As a student of military history I am reminded of Hitler's so called Enabling Act which gave him complete dictatorial power. I'll be looking for the Night And Fog Decree next. Oh, that's right, that already exists - if the government says you are a terrorist they can take you away without charges, hold you without bail, and tell no one where you went.
