How about just treating citizens as people rather than as subjects?

How about they treat police with a tad bit of respect?

These guys are only human. They get spit on cussed at, things thrown at them day in and day out. Then you get a big gaggle of UTTER DOUCHE BAGS like in this video. I am not saying what he did was right. But before you go calling for him to be burned at the stake maybe take a minute to see how they get treated in big cities. When the thugs all listen to nasty music that tells them it is ok to treat police bad because they are doing their job.

Again if you don't want crap like that to happen DO GO WHERE it is going on in the first place.

Respect is a two way street.

I agree these guys are only human but aren't they trained to deal with high stress situations? Or at leist supose to be trained for that? And If they can't handle the stress maybe they ought to be looking for a line of work that isn't so stressful instead of breaking the very laws they were sworn to protect?

The "It's a stressful job" line don't cut it with me, i've been there done that for 22 years.

Innocent citizen walking down the street gets violently attacked by a police officer.

They knew the stress of the job when they signed up. They knew it when they put on the uniform in the morning.

Yeah, the job sucks. I wouldn't want it. I wouldn't do it.

But he attacked an innocent citizen walking down the street. How do we need more information than that?
Or perhaps this way: If he weren't wearing a police uniform, why wouldn't he be taken straight to jail?

Maybe you need to look at the video again, this innocent citizen started out behind the crowd, what was she doing?, than circled behind the officer before she was quickly forced into a retreat position, but was just not fast enough.....Unless you were there you DO NOT KNOW what actually happened, this video only shows a portion of an entire event, withhold judgement until ALL of the facts are in

But we DO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. There are other articles/links around the web that clearly state she wasn't the one that threw the water on the officer, but mearly a bistander. He just happened to see her with a water bottle and cold cocked her for something someone else actually done.

Even IF she threw the water on the officer, was his responce justified? You can't really tell me yes, can you? To cold cock a WOMAN in the face? Really?

I know NOT the way I was raised. I don't care if she did throw water on the police. She should not have been hit like that from that cop. He should have been arrested and charged. He could have killed her!

That's just old fashioned nonsense, as part of their 'liberation', any woman who goes out and gets involved in riotous affairs gets what EVERYONE else gets.
Just because one of those idiotic anarchist O.W.S. (or any other rioter)persons is a woman doesn't shield her from whatever happens, including tear gas and batons.
I'm NOT advocating the beating of women, but this is what happens when some women demand to be treated as an equal.
If a guy slaps my kid, he's going down, and so is a woman.
If a guy punches me without cause, he's getting the same, and so is a woman, particularly one whom I'm not associated with.
Hey man, that's as equal as it gets.
I'm a fair man, and to those women who want EVERYTHING equal, I say welcome to our world.
If they want to be treated as a Lady, act as one and I'll return the favor.
As for the Cops, since they come from our society, it only makes sense we WILL get some bad ones. The police are a direct reflection of our society, good and bad.
But they are trained, and should be held accountable when unjustified acts are commited.
Now to say that the MAJORITY of cops are like that flies in the face of logic, for if they were we would see FAR more of this.
We are seeing too many as it is, but again, it's a reflection of where our society is going.

Mayor Nutter was "horrified" and apologized to victim Aida Guzman, and protesters rallied with "We are all Aida" signs.

But Fraternal Order of Police members, apparently, are "all Josey."

The police union will fete the 19-year veteran with a $30-per-person benefit Oct. 28. "Come On Out and Support ONE OF OUR OWN" reads a flier inviting officers to the five-hour, Sunday-afternoon event at the FOP Hall on Spring Garden near Broad. Proceeds will help Josey with living expenses, because he no longer gets a paycheck, FOP President John McNesby said.
