I'm glad you like it! Personally, I don't think too much of it, and I'm sure that I couldn't shoot it at all with that really high comb on the stock! But I'm an old fart, and I think a gun should look like a gun, not a toy!

I agree with you there! And I like wood funiture on my guns, tho I do have about as many with the new plastic stocks. Even a .22!

I'll have to agree with Carver. Savage and CZ build some very accurate rimfires, but this one and the CZ Varmint Evolution need to be camouflaged so well you can't see the stock.

Disagree, to my old eyes 'tis a thing beauty. I can only hope they'll do similar with a semi auto to compete with the 10-22. Nothing wrong with a little bling.

I didn't like it when it was first made and still don't.

But everything on this one has a purpose.

The mako is nothing more then a savage 22 with a "special" stock.

yep!
looks like a good shooter though, I've never liked thumbhole stocks myself but it's a good bolt gun. My win 52 target rifle is a custom thumbhole though, I do like it. But it's all tricked out as a target rifle, no good for anything else at 12 lbs, only one purpose. The Mako would be a hell of a squirrel rifle I imagine, or outdoor target gun. Did they jack up the price because of the stock I wonder?

Carver is a true classic rifle enthusiast. Yall should have seen the way he clinched his walking stick a couple TFF TX meets back when i uncased my Rem 5 to shoot a hole in one of Charles' small propane cylinders so he could make a mortar tube. I thought for a second he was gonna wop me over the head and make off with my rifle.
