It was a windy, cloudy day with on & off rain, so I took a small pork roast and turned it into pork stew...comfort food. Very tasty!

Thanks, American Leader. Not a chef by any stretch of the imagination, I'm just a guy who enjoys cooking and taking pictures. There's no way I would want to work in a restaurant as a chef. Too many long hours for not enough dollars. I volunteer to cook for big events at our church like fish fry's and our annual four-day festival where we sell $40,000+ of food in four days, all prepared in our commercial kitchen by volunteers. Those event reinforce that I never want a career in food service. I have a kid brother who is an outstanding gunsmith, but would never want to do it for a living. Gunsmithing for him and cooking for me are hobbies we are passionate about, and are a diversion from our daytime careers. Everyone needs something to take their mind off their work, and lucky for me, I get to eat my hobby!

Half of tonight's dinner was in the freezer; pulled pork and a container of pork gravy. Just thawed it out, made some smashed tater and steamed some fresh carrots & broccoli. Since there wasn't a lot of gravy, I just put the meat & gravy on a pile of smashed taters with butter & sour cream. I even have enough for lunch tomorrow.

got a duck the other day , hung it for a day and roasted it in the dutch oven till almost done then tossed in some vege's and roasted em all some more till the duck was off the bone when you touched it

served 4 cooked outside, eaten inside , return to the fire cigars and scotch, good folks a good night eh

Another rainy day here in NE Ohio, so I made butternut squash soup (I had two bowls), Romain & spinach salad and baguettes still hot from the oven. Really hit the spot, and finished with apple strudel for dessert.
