Yes and no, I like to analyze them for content.
Our most recent one here in Colorado is a fella in Pueblo complaining about being laid off from a wind turbine manufacturer and how Romney is for "big oil", and isn't in touch with the 'little guy'.
Hmm, he got laid off from a "green energy" company under the Obama administration?
And what has that to do with big oil, or Romney for that matter?
And how is his position different from those on our Western Slope who were laid off from "big oil" when that idiot Salazar closed all those oil leases out there?
The fella in Pueblo is a bozo, His 'boy' in Washington was supposed to keep him and his green energy company going, nothing to do with Romney.
But hey, the great unwashed and illiterate part of the 47% will just jump on a bandwagon whenever they can to diffuse the issue that they aren't all that employable.
And 'Rich' Republicans are always good for the blame game to these people.

We turned off Cable and Satalite. I don't watch Regular TV and have no commercials. LOVE IT. I do hear a few on the radio, but when they come on, I just turn it off too. BUT to answer your questions, I am sick of what adds I do hear....mostly cause the ones running here are Liberal Dem's BS Lies!!!

Here in NE OHIO they still are on the TV blah, blah even more since debate #1.

Both candidates have been here 17+ times.

Today GOP NJ Governer Christe was outside a union GM plant in Lordstown, OH.

.....and nobody seems to be able to win the election without winning Ohio, oh geezzz another month of TV endless crap.

I cant believe the amount of money these people spend just to try and get your vote. Our streets are lined with little signs for candidates and I receive something in the mail everyday for someone new, sometimes even the same thing. You can't watch tv without hearing an ad for a local or national person. This is rediculous.

I would literally love to see political campaigns limited to SIXTY days............

More than enough time for candidates to make their pitch for election!!!

PLEASE................

We here in Wisconsin have gone from political ads from 2010 and after Walker got it here it continued right into a recall and still continues. Broadcasters have made a bundle on advertising here!!!

My "mute" button is just about shot and about ready to have my land line disconnected since 99.995% of all incoming calls are political anymore.

I feel lucky to live in Texas. My state has been written off by the Dems, I guess. So, we haven't been overwhelmed with Obama or Romney ads. Do get some state stuff. And we get, at least, 3 calls a night from the GOP and almost daily calls from some gun rights outfit. Thankful for caller ID.

I saw today they've spent over $6,000,000 just on TV ads in the Ohio Senate race and three more brutal weeks to go.

Oh BTW:

The current salary (2011-2012) for rank-and-file members of the House and Senate is $174,000 per year.

Senate Leadership
Majority Party Leader - $193,400
Minority Party Leader - $193,400

House Leadership
Speaker of the House - $223,500
Majority Leader - $193,400
Minority Leader - $193,400

A cost-of-living-adjustment (COLA) increase takes effect annually unless Congress votes to not accept it.

See anything out of whack here? Is the system totally screwed up?

I really love the don't vote, don't act and get a raise part....try that with your boss.

.....edit add, I muted the TV twice while typing this of commercials I've probably seen 50 times during the NBC Nightly News, more surely on the way.

I saw where they had a debate again today (I didn't watch). It's been mean, nasty, name-calling a real circus.

They said the total money spent on this Senate race is the most in the USA, ~$27,000,000.

Wow for a ~$174,000/yr job.....so who owes whom now? Anybody? Nobody?
