Well, I hit the voting booth today. Yes, I hit the "R" only button. Hope my vote helps stop the insanity and can help restore our Republic. Thinking it will be a long, arduous battle. I am tenacious and focused.

Romney is the better option this time around, but he isn't perfect. Punters from both sides will find fault with him and his administration after the election.

That said, he is 1000% better than what occupies the white house now.

So I voted for him anyway.

Get to exercise my right in 4 days - I'm going to be there when the polls open.

Wife and I made a trip to the county seat today to early vote. Got to work all day Tuesday so needed to get it done. Think this is the first time I've ever voted a straight "R" ticket. Two more for RR

The wife and I voted three hours after the polls opened here for Early Voting.
I have never voted a straight ticket; I look at each position to be filled, look at each candidate for that position, and pick the best person for the job.
I have, over the years, voted for Republicans, Democrats, Independants and Libertarians.
I have modified my strategy slightly in that I will never again vote for someone that is unelectable, as I helped get Clinton in by voting for Harry Brown some years ago and will NEVER repeat that mistake.

When I finished voting this time and went to the summary screen, I discovered that every candidate I had voted for was listed as 'R'.

You are a younger fella, Dan -

Time was when there were some VERY conservative democrats.
I have not seen one in some years, but they really did exist at one time.
The area I now live in is actually a victom of that change.
This area is conservative, VERY pro-gun, etc.
And they stem from a time when the Southern Democrats were conservative.

The Democrats have lost their conservatism, but the people here remain Democrat, and vote straight DEM tickets because their family always has done so.

Einstein said the definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
He could use my county as a case in point.

I try to vote in a way that if God were to question me I could say I voted in his best interest. I have not met a democratic politician that makes choices based on God. therefore I don't vote democrat and never will.
