iron sights or scope?

iron sights.. a tossup between a carl gustav and a 303 enfield. ( with an honorable mention to a ruskie sks i have that hit 'near center' of a 10" triangle at 150yds, shooting leaning against a rail.

scope?

toss up between my rem 700 30-06 and another in 222rem.

latter being much more pleasent to the shoulder to shoot.

both make bulls at 100yds easy..

My favorite(because IT makes me look good),a custom Mauser 98 action with bull barrel 6.5x.06,1.25lb trigger,side safety,with a 56mm Nightforce scope(won for $10 at a gunshow)extremely accurate with 120gr under 500yds,over that,she likes Berger 130s.

second would be a $365 Savage 110FP in .308,$75 trigger job and floating barrel, with handload 175-180gr Sierra HPBTs,she shoots 1.5 at 200yds all day long.

Kimber 84M in .257 Roberts at 100 yards with a Leupold 2-7 scope:

Here it is with its older cousin (a .257 Model 70):

Here is a 100 yard group with the Model 70 and its iron sights:

But my 88 in .243 is starting to grow on me:

My serbu BFG-50A. Never shot past 600 yards before. Yesterday I put a 16" x 20" steel target around 1120 yards away. First shot looked just to the left, dialed 2 clicks right took another shot, and BAM!!!! Knocked that sucker down. I know I got the advantage with the 50 BMG but hey, it was my first shot past 1000 yards!
