thanks, like I said I know it will not do any good, but it would be nice to see a million gun owners sign it just to have a voice. Of course gun owners never seem to want to have a voice, my opinion.

These things need at least 150 signatures to go public.......so sign them!

It seems that us are gun owners always talk about how important we think the 2nd is, so whats the problem with signing these?

If anything, I just want to see what the "Administration" has to say about it.

The one where TX wants to secede has gotten more than enough signatures.....that is going to be interesting. I can't wait for that response.

As soon as it allows me to sign up, I will sign it. It had a little "popup" telling me that I would get an email from them in a couple of minutes with a link to click on. I have been waiting 15 minutes, so far, for that email.

I checked into Texas being able to secede and actually it is not legal for Texas or any other state to secede. If anything this will just be a burr up Obamas keester.

145 views and only 15 signatures, another reason why our 2nd amendment rights are constantly eroded. Thanks to each of you who took the 5 minutes to sign up and vote though, I am sure the other 130 people on here had plenty else to do like watch jersey shore or something.

"A whitehouse .gov account is required to sign petitions"
I'm going to voluntarily give my e-mail to THEM?
Before you go making accusations perhaps you should consider where you are. I'm to trust THEM with my info? I'll bet this is the reason for not signing up.
And why in hell am I required to sign up for an account but a boatload of illegals aren't required to have I.D. and get to vote by the very same whitehouse?
Does anyone honestly think it will go anywhere? With THIS administration?
It's a waste of time, and a sure signal as to who you are.

It's been 10 hours and still no email from them to allow me to finish the signing up. I am sure there are other people who are still waiting for the same thing. Why would you assume that any one would just disregard something as important as that?

Not that I think any of these petitions have a snowballs chance in hell of even being looked at by anyone above the rank of common-assed laborer, but I haven't one iota of trust left for our government nor anyone who works for it. We have strayed as far as possible from the ideals our founding fathers risked their lives and their fortunes to create for future generations. I just want to be left alone with what I worked all my life to build.

I put this on 3 other message boards and got it going on facebook.

I had one person not even look at it because all internet petitions are a joke. Another one told me that the federal government has no place in this matter. It should be all of the states make their own laws about this.

Some people just choose to be blinded by the light I guess.
