In light of the recent election, and all the changes we may see pushed at us, I wonder how many of us are willing to spend a little hard earned cash and add our names to one of the groups fighting to protect our gun rights?
I'll be the first to admit, I let my membership slide in a group well known for sending lots of unwanted mail. I get regular emails from another group that keeps us informed about subjects of interest, but I realized it's been 2 years since I renew membership with them. I'm embarrassed about this, and intend to rectify it. I think I would really like to turn on the news some time soon and hear one of the talking heads say, "Gun rights organizations have seen a dramatic increase in membership since then last election". I'd love to see the worry on his brow as he reports that we refuse to go down with a fight. I don't care who you join or how many, but vote with your membership dollars and make a statement that even the blind followers in DC can't miss.

Anyone that wants to keep their 2nd amendment rights should join the NRA. Both my son and I are members.

The organization you speak of is becoming a foot note in the history of politics. Their support did not affectively help the Republicans that could have made a difference in Washington. They wasted a lot of members money and did not get the results they predicted. They have been blinded from the reality of current politics by their dogged support of right wing nuts. Politics is a game of compromise and they will be an emasculated by-stander in the future. I am done donating to their "cause".

I belong to several PRO 2nd amendment groups.
I do not belong to a well known "compromising" group. Either way, nothing seemed to help this last election. ![]()

The NRA led a huge charge in this election. Unfortunately, they couldnt get it done on their own. They still are the leading pro gun organization in the country and always will be. Until anyone can prove different, my support will continue to go to the NRA. Join today!

Put your mouth where your money is! Don't just join the NRA. Become active somewhere. If not with the NRA, join the Tea Party, or any other pro active group. Join your states militia, just become active at some level!

The NRA is a very active Org. We run Compt. shooting programs, Inst. Programs, Jr. Shooting programs, Home Safwty Programs Etc. We are involved in Hunting rights gun rights etc.
NRA dues are not insurance payments. NRA dues makes you a member and allows you to participate in any rights issue you choose. If you just pay your dues and do not get involved both you and the NRA have lost. The NRA is the target for the left wing politicans and Big labor unions. The propagnada of NRA gives in spends to much sends too much mail? ![]() Funny thing, for over 100 years we were the single progun Org. Americans remained the only country in the world with gun rights. You may disagree with our approach that is you right. However, you should show respect for this Progun Org. ![]() |

I will say it again....
The NRA has not done everything that I wanted them to do, in the way I wanted..... But they have done far more than any one else, for far longer than any one else. RIP Charlton. And take some time to listen to NRA News.... The link is always in my signature.....

Like my signature says, now is not the time for division within the ranks, if you do not agree with one gun organization, dont complain, get on board with one that you do agree with. Tearing down one organization wont help the cause. Banding together will. Strength is in unity. A house divided can not stand.

The only reason we still have many of these rights is due directly to the NRA's efforts, any say otherwise ignores the truth. Has it been perfect? No, but neither has the gun peoples themselves, it's on OUR heads as well as ANY organizations. One or more losses and we should throw it away? An interesting take, submission and surrender. That's where we would be without it. No other organization has the power of the NRA at this time, to walk away is a foolish move for any real Patriot. No, I don't like all the calls and mail, but I like the Demmies plans much, much less. Perhaps it would be best to take a harder look at the accomplishments as opposed to the losses.

I do not belong to the NRA but with any luck i'll win the DD x-mas giveaway. I do however belong to a concealed carry advocates group in my home state.

Why would a real gun owner attack a gun rights Org? There are many of these antigun Org. post on the shooting forums. Why?
