I cant decifer if imported by bannerman or ec meacham. I know its belgian. Thats about as far as ive got. Its 40 inches long but i know its missing two inches of metal at the end of the WOODEN barrel. There is a stamp but i cant make it out. Also the number 868 is under the stamp. Please help.

Looks like a springfield to me. Take some pics of the overall drill rifle.
