It's been really good the last couple of weeks. Could it be a Daryl/Merle showdown tonight?

didn't look like it from last weeks previews, though i didn't see the extended preview.

Daryle has become one of my favourite characters in all of TV land. here you have two brothers who grew up in a bad situation. Daryl beats the odds and becomes a great man, while Merle succumbs to their situation and becomes a monster.

I don't think it will happen soon, but it would make a great "who wins" season ender.

I have mostly lost interest due to the story line and killing off main characters. Considering all of the above - the first two seasons were really good. Now, it seems they have too many story lines developing and less zombie whacking.

Having said that - Why have they not made some sick spears for sticking the zombies in the head rather than using a pice of unsharpened rebar or pipe. I'm no blacksmith, but I could certainly cold forge a nice spear/spear head outta nearly anything with nearly nothing.

I'm thinking that all the survivors in Walking Dead should have watched Liam in Gray and figured out that spears make it possible to kill the "man eaters" before they are close enough to bite - I'm not so sure about taping shotgun shells to 'em, but............the spear concept is a good one.

the graphic novel did the same thing too.. killed off a main character every now and then.. added new ones.. etc.

I really don't like Murel or the Governor. Makes me want to see a bullet in their heads.

Darrel is the most awesome character so far in my opinion.

personally i would be more put off if none of the main characters ever died. it's one thing if people died off in a sitcom or some other show, but c'mon, it's a zombie apocalypse! people die in those!

I have a close friend that has read the comics, graphic novels and the books. The books are a lot more harsh than the show. In the books the Governor is a pedo that kept his zombie daughter and pulled her teeth out, he beats and rapes Michone (KICK butt black gal) and just does a lot more crazy off the wall crap.

Rick starts carrying around the phone as a way to deal with all the death.

I believe next week is the Brother v Brother show down.

I have recorded the last episode to watch whenever. Maybe this week.
Last week was just hokey.
And I am very glad someone else commented about those ridiculous accents. It is the most absurd convoluted speech I have ever heard.
I think the problem is that Rick and the Governor are both ... British!
Could they get no real southern USA actor? I think they could. Instead they get that preposterous stilted mush mouthing.
A real distraction from the hokey plot.

He's an American born in Florida. Otherwise known for his role in The Boondock Saints. I didn't see that, but my wife (along with every other woman I know that watches the show) is crazy about him.

It only took like 11 months for Rick to pick up a full auto rifle. Finally

Will Daryl and Merle have a fight to the death? Will they find a way to over come the Governor and his group with the help of the prison group and Andrea. It will be an interesting season. Looking forward to February.

The guy seems like a decent person, they had the chance to take Carls gun but they didn't, seems as though they may become part of the group.
