Yesterday I bought my first 1911. Today I shot my Sig 1911 Scorpion with a 5 inch barrel. Now the big question is why in the heck did I wait so long. Man this thing is SWEET. I love Glock, Springfield. Smith and Wesson and others, BUT. I think today if someone told me I could only have one handgun I would not take a minute to decide, 1911 all day long. Anyone else have a Scorpion?

Congrats, SIG makes a very nice 1911. Got pics?? I had shot many 1911's but never owned one until this year; they just aren't ergonomic /comfy for me. P220 is much more comfortable for me.

This one feels sooooo nice in my hands and when I shoot. That is why in one day it has become my favorite handgun. I have felt one other that feels that good and it was a Kimber, but why pay that much for about the same gun? However, saying that I wonder if this is so much better shooting and accurate then what would a Kimber or Nighthawk be. I went through the Nighthawk Custom shop a few months ago and was amazed at the quality they put in each gun. WOW

I've only got a half-dozen or so, but I don't think I've ever had/seen a 1911 that didn't have something about it that I didn't like. Congrats.

Since I bought my first 1911 I have never looked at another style pistol for myself. My problem is there are so many to choose from and Double D keeps posting more that I like and cant find it all started with his RIA Tactical 2011. I do have another in sight now but cant find that one either its made by Girsan 1911s is the model. Rated high and cost is low. My BIL has a Kimber eclipse custom hes trying to sell me but wants too much IMHO he wants 800 firm. The Phillipine made guns are pretty nice too. When I see what I want I will know. I still have 2 gifts waiting as soon as I let her know which I want. Christmas will make 3

The only Sig I have ever owned, bought it to cut cost of 1911 practice. Pretty close to the same heft, exactly the same size, it is doing the job well. The only mods I've made are full length metal guide rod to replace the plastic part, and grips to suit my hand. Nice gat!
