I agree 100% I have 12 Model 12s.
I have had one Mossberg 500 20ga. It was the first shotgun I ever owned. I have one 870 youth model that I bought for the kids that shoot trap with us.

Well, after purchasing an M1A1 and an AR15 at the Expo, I pretty much stuffed the ballot box with all the tickets I got; one box, 45 tickets.
![]() I was focused! ![]()

The 870 is a more durable gun ! Remington has made over 6 million of them , and still going strong ! Mossberg is what one buys when one can't afford the Remington !

I have to say I'm a bit biased towards the Remington 870. Of course, that might have to do with the fact that I own one!
![]() Seriously though, they're both respectable models.

I had a Mossberg 590...loved the sights and it was fun to shoot. After a dozen rounds, it stopped working. Pin was bent. I had it replaced, a dozen rounds the pin bent again. Info I turned up seemed to indicate a design flaw...so I picked up a Benelli semi auto, pretty kick butt...and a Baikal IZH43K sawed off double barrel 12 gage for game running around in the house

I've put untold # of CASES of shells thru my 500... shoots as good now as when i got it 22ys ago. never jambs, always feeds any shell type, even those cheap full plastic no brass shells they used to have. Finish on it is still intact as well. I must say that my 870 which is less than half it's age and brobably has not had 50 shells thru it, has marks all the way thru it's finish in plases form normal handling. Both are great guns.. and the 500 is cheaper... I don't see a 'huge' divide in loengevity between them. my prefered shotguns are the browning.. I guess that's what one buys when they have enough money to not need to shoot the remington.. eh? |

I can't count how many times I've been oh so close to big prizes! I've hit $6400, $5200, $5000 on the lottery but close to $100,000 and other prizes more than a few times. |
