It wasn't too long for me to watch.

Lotsa people bury their head in the sand
and would never look at things occurring on this
scale. Never connect the dots, so to speak.
Too unreal for many to fathom.

Myself and friends have talked about this for decades.
In fact, the last time MamaOzo and I moved, graphs,
charts, etc. just like this were some deciding factors
when picking the location.

12 21 2012 the world will swallow its self
we have had sink holes around here for years
we have a place called LOST RIVER (google it) the river flows then just stops and reappears farther down stream.
there has been many a gallon of dye dumped in where it goes under ground, but the dye has never been seen

When it comes to the planet and it's perpetual geological shimmy shake, my attitude is that I don't make the rules. I just live here.

I dont think the 12 21 thing has anything to do with the video.

But the video does make you think. He presents this information in a scary manner. The movement of the earth is allways happening. But now are we set for a giant movement? This has got me concerned. I do hope i am far enough away from such an event when it happens, Lord willing.

Well, there's big and then there's BIG
. The thing with earthquakes, sinkholes and such is that they are very local events that rarely impact more than a couple miles radius, if that. Volcanos usually reach a little farther, but except for the case of rift volcanos or caldera's such as Yellowstone, are also local events. Hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, impact far larger areas. Earth is a big place. Takes a lot to really screw things up.

People still think a 20megaton nuke would be the end of the world - Wrong! Still a local event. Mt. St. Helens eruption was the equivalent of a couple thousand Hiroshima size (20 kilotons) bombs, and Seattle and Portland shrugged it off.

People need to get a grip, and quit freaking out about normal geologic activity.

They've been fracking in Oklahoma since the mid 40s and it hasn't disappeared into the earth yet.

Sinkholes have been around for a few billion years. There is an entire field of scientific inquiry that has studied this and other geological features for quite a long time. I wish people would take advantage of the internet to research things like this.

From Wikipedia: (took all of 10 seconds to find this).

Quote:
A sinkhole, also known as a sink, snake hole, swallow hole, swallet, doline, or cenote, is a natural depression or hole in the Earth's surface caused by karst processes — for example, the chemical dissolution of carbonate rocks or suffusion processes in sandstone. Sinkholes may vary in size from 1 to 600 metres (3.3 to 2,000 ft) both in diameter and depth, and vary in form from soil-lined bowls to bedrock-edged chasms. Sinkholes may be formed gradually or suddenly, and are found worldwide

As usual, the internet experts have come to the rescue....
looking down their nose at others....
No wonder we are in the shape we are in today.

The point [OP] missed.

the only natural desaster that i wory might afect me is, Yelowstone.
If it ever decides to rear it's ugly head in my time, the ash cloud is what will consern me.
just from the respatory problums it can cause.

Same here! If the whole souther half of the U.S. is going to fall into the ocean, then there just isn't anything I can do about it. I could move to Colorado, but then a mountain could fall on me there, Yellow Stone could explode, either way I'm not getting out of this life alive!

Lamentations Chapter 5:
1. Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.
2. Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
3. We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers [are] as widows.
5. Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.
16. The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
21. Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

What folks seems to overlook is that not even the Mayans thought the world was going to end on that date. It's just the last day of their long calendar. It's like being afraid the world is going to end every December 31st because it's the last day on our calendar.

A calendar which probably doesn't even line up like folks think, because they didn't account for things like leap years.

In other words, the prophecy is an invention of modern, non-mystical mooks.

I'll be glad when we're enjoying Christmas with our families and the world can leave this stuff behind. (Though I'm sure there's another doom prophecy waiting to spread.) Say a prayer for the people who are going to do foolish things in the next couple of weeks because they're wrapped up in this story. I don't envy police officers who have to be on patrol on the 21st.

Man-made and natural disasters are still real, of course, but that's nothing new. Just keep the ammo dry.
