Default crows foot ?

anyone have it in there area?
crows foot makes a beautiful wreath when wound around a metal frame with some holly berries added
crows foot was always a part of our decorations for Christmas. where we hunted there was an area about 500' x 500' and another area about 50' x 100'
it was so thick and soft it was like walking on cotton .
in 1987 dad was picking some to bring home. he never made it, when we found him, he had a piece of crows foot clenched in his fist. he had died there.
the following year i went to the same place to gather some. there was not a single piece to be found
to this day i visit that same place where it was so plentiful and there is still none

I have never seen any of it, for that matter, I don't think that I have even heard of it.

no we don't have it around here.
I now see why you have your tradition with the wild flowers.

I have one I do every year also. just a way to say thanks Dad, for all you did for me.

I hope you can find some. and I hope It comes back for you.
Makes me think of the story,Where the red fern grows.

from a kid that is all we decorated with, nature. all the different pines, wild ferns, holly, crows foot, miseltoe, bittersweet, cat tails and different grasses.
nature paints a beautiful picture. all one has to do is look to enjoy

It's called Running Cedar here in VA. Makes a pretty wreath but is protected and has been for several years.

we call it creeping juniper here. In my last house I planted a hillside with it as a ground cover. It is a common landscaping shrub here and fairly inexpensive.
