Default Illinois ban on concealed carry struck down

Sounds like a victory for our side. A Federal appeals court has struck down the Illinois ban. Story's on Yahoo News.

Correction to previous; that should've read Google News, not Yahoo.

It's great. This is another example of the fact that although our rights are under attack, the claim that we are losing them is not entirely true.
Yes, we must remain vigilant, but the sky is NOT falling as some would want us to believe.
As an aside, I predict that 2 years after the implementation of a REASONABLE CCW law, violent, personal crime will be down by 12-15%, and more within 5 years.
I also predict those idiots in Chicago will pass their own anti carry law for that city, the fools.

And if you are not yet affiliated.....
Join the NRA AND any/all other pro-gun groups.

They speak....as you sleep.

NRA memberships are a wonderful gift
for Christmas.
Even to yourself.

Much, much talk of getting spouse/girlfriend/
family members into shooting and CCW.....
and which gun?.....which this or that ?......
start them off with a gift membership in the NRA...
and keep it current afterwards.

Being from IL, I'm kind of shocked this happened. I figured I would have moved from IL long before this happened.

Now the question is what kind of restrictions they'll put in place to get a CCW. If the Republicans are smart (which is a bit of a stretch to say about any politician), they can make getting a CCW extremely easy by refusing to compromise with the Dems since the 180 day limit to get something done is there. Otherwise it's constitutional carry (from what I understand, which would be unbelievable) unless it's taken up with the Supreme court.

This is big news around here. Word on the street is the lib's will let it go. They don't want to advertise this big loss. They will let it go and then complain about it and try to make it an election issue.
