Default Forum read

Sure wish it would return us to main when we mark a forum read, instead of back to the forum we just said we were finished with. Am I making sense? Hmmm.

I also wish it would return back to the forum page after posting instead of showing you what you just posted.

I don't know if that is something Tac can fix or not.

Along these same lines, there seems to be a time feature that automatically marks everything read. If I go to a forum and then have to leave my computer for a while, when I come back it shows everything as read. I'd rather have to mark it read manually.

Did that make sense?

When I log on the forums that have new postings are highlighted. After I read them they are staying highlighted all day no matter how many times I leave the site nad return.

So if you come back the next day, will they still be marked unread?

It must just be some setting on my computer. This happens on other php boards too.

AAARGH!!!

It's still doing it to me. Case in point: I was working my way through the forums this morning, and was in the middle of replying to a post in the techincal questions/information forum. I had to leave my computer for about 15 minutes while still typing my reply. I came back, finished my reply, and went back to the forums index page. It showed that all forums had been read, when I know that there had been a lot of unread posts in other forums. I've looked and looked for a setting that I can change in my user control panel, but I can't figure out how to leave messages unread until I physically mark them read.

Tac, Agree with armedandsafe. Can you change the "Mark All Topics Read" link to return you to the TFF main page instead of the current forum page? I like to click on "Mark All Topics Read", which sends me to TFF MAin and I then go to the next forum unread. That is the way TFF at EZ did it.

I agree. Once I've marked a forum read, I don't want to go right back there.

I agree also.

It is really aggravating to me after I make a post it takes me to my post. Whey in the heck do I want to look at what I just typed. After making a post I wish it would take me back to the main page of the forum I am in.

I agree, I'll take a look inside, if nothing is in there to change
it, then I'll contact my support personel.

I'll try to get that squared away asap!
