Looking for good loads for .308, I have 1-11" twist with 24" bbl. with 4 grooves. Not sure what grain bullet I want to shoot, but probably a bthp. Was wondering if people having better results with a certain powder over another, and rod vs. round grain powder. thx

I have never had a 308 that wouldn't shoot well with Varget and a 155 A-max. Something about that extruded powder that does pretty good in a 308 Win.

40 grains 3031 behind a 150 grain boat tail or the 147 grain military pill. Excellent plinking load and tight groups....

Try 39 grains IMR 4064 with a 155 gr BTHP
