Default Thanksgiving dinner - what are you havin'?

What are you searving?

We have company coming from outta state. The wife wants to make a small traditional meal. I on the other hand want to do much more, but the boss has overruled me on this.

We are having:

turkey
walnut/apple dressing
yams with marshmellows
green beans with almonds
mashed taters & gravy
biscuits (maybe some rolls for the yankee visitors)
cranberry sauce
acorn squash

and pumpkin and apple pies for desert

I want to grill or smoke a turkey - maybe use a beer can cookercooker
sweet potato pie
creamed spinach
creamed corn
glazed carrotts
fried okra
collards and cullliflower
