Hunt club dues - The Firearms Forum

Here in central VA, I pay $325 to hunt semi rural 1300 acers packed full of small deer (70 to 100 pounds), turkeys, ducks, and small game.

How about you?

I dunno how your tag(s) / limits are set-up in VA., but if I equated that to basics of what I get up here + bow tag

1 buck
3 doe
2 fall turkeys
2 spring turkeys
then
1/2 dozen fox
1/2 dozen coyote
1/2 dozen possum or other nest raiders
unlimited squirrel (not exceeding daily limit)

Then $325 for access to 1300 acres doesn't suck. I might even assist with plots and other maintenance. Right now its patches of private land and wma to get harvests close to that list, but it also means alot of scouting, and fuel $$. Whereas if you had a club or camp, you cn spend more time doing what you enjoy. Last season was the worst I had in years. Got stummped for deer first time in 5-years, plus someone stold my tree-stand. I tell ya, I miss camp. Private access to 170+ acres. We were set-up. Then the old guy we sub-leased from decides to try and log the local woods and gets busted.

We get 6 deer plus three for heard management. 3 doe/3 buck/3 management

Pretty much unlimited small game & varmits within daily limits.

2 turkey.
