i just bought a marlin 93R17 .17 HMR for squeek shooting. i have been using CCI TNT 17 grain bullets so far. they do a good job on the squeeks but i get alot of 'floppers'. if i hit a squeek in the head or chest, they die a gruesome instant death. but when i hit them with what would be a kill shot with a .22, they just flop around and run off into their hole. i am sure they die later, but it is anoying that they get away like that. what is a good round to use to try and minimze the number of escapee's? also, where can i get some good prices on ammo?
thanks, matty

Try the Hornady with the v-max bullets. These are proven varmit stoppers. I use them in my .223 S&W 1500 HB varmit rifle and you cannot beat the v-max.

As IPT said. also remington and fed's use the same bullet type. all 3 will do the job look for what ya can find best in your neck of the woods and what your rifle likes. mine has liked all 4 of the makers so far.
I use the CCI's on critters i plan to eat less meat loss.
