Default Re: Ideas for reorganizing the U.S. military

I always wanted to be a gravel agitator. Marching long hours in the yuck and the muck. Sleeping on the gravel, in the mud, eating out of a plastic bags, and being thrown out of the back of a Starliflters or Polish wisper jets .
The more I think about it, I prefer our manuvers in the Air force in support of the other services.
Staying in the Holiday Inn, Ramada, or Sheraton, happy hours, dinning in restraunts, maid service, and of course perdeum.

If you combine all of the branches into one jaugernaut, identity is lost.

Each branch has their own doctrine. A soldier cannot do the job of a Marine no more than a Marine can do the job of a soldier. The army is a large cumbersome lumbering giant. They are slow to move, but once in place, they are hard to dislodge. Marines can be anywhere you want them within 12 hours.
