Default Ithaca 37 featherlight 20 gauge

My husband recently inherited an Ithaca 37 Featherlight 20 gauge pump, it has engraving on both sides in the wood. Since he doesn't use computers much, he asked me to see if I could find out the value. He gave me the serial #929144. Can you tell me anything about the value of this gun?

Hello thegrays and welcome to TFF. We are not ignoring you, it's just that most of us are at work and our books are at home. We will be back with an answer for you.

Now, what we really need is barrel length, condition of the gun in % of bluing left, vent rib? You say it is engraved on both sides of the wood? Do you mean the wood is checkered in a cross hatch pattern? Usually engraving is on the receiver of the gun. Please let us know and we can get you an approximate figure.

Thanks.

Without more information, the Model 37 Featherlight Standard:

100% = $250
98% = $225
95% = $195
90% = $175
80% = $160
70% = $140
60% = $125

Please let us know if there is any information that could chnge this.

Thanks for the reply. I will try to get a picture of the gun this weekend and ask my husband for the other information you asked for. When i say engraving, I mean there is a scene of 3 ducks landing on a lake on one side and on the other is a scene of 2 grouse raising and a dog pointing. I am sorry, I don't know much about guns, but I can find out anything you want to know to help us figure out what its worth. Thanks for taking the time.

No problem. Let us know if this is engraved on the steel receiver.

ok, here is a more accurate description of my husband's Ithaca 37 Featherlight, 20 gauge pump shotgun. The barrell length is 28 inches, improved cylinder, 90% of bluing left, engraving of 3 ducks landing on a lake on the left side of receiver and 2 grouse raising and a dog pointing on the right side of the metal receiver, has vent rib. If anyone can help us find out what its worth we would appreciate it.

The above prices shown by Xracer will apply to this shotgun. It is simply the standard grade featherlight.
