Default thinkin' of plinkin'....

I'm looking at the Henry .22 LR rifles. The US Survival seems interesting because of its ability to break down into a compact 16.5 inches. The .22 pump looks like fun too. My question: Is a Henry a good value? My only exposure to them was from the movie Silverado. They seem to be a good value....Any insight or experience with Henry's would be appreciated! Thanks..

Hey Slimslam...Welcome to TFF!!!

Let's see...The quality of most of the stuff from Henry is for the most part quite good. It really depends on what you want it for. If it is really just for plinkin' and you like their stuff...go for it!

Is it important to you that your gun breakdown to 16.5"? Could be a factor.

To me, assuming a certain level of quality manufacture, which Henry will certainly deliver, plinkers are mostly about personal taste. If you want to do more serious target shooting, you would probably want to look somewhere else.

I had a Henry Goldenboy for a time and it was a great shooter...action smooth as a baby's arse.

I am sure others will venture other opinions, but that is mine!!!!

Again...welcome! If you see the Nuge, say hi for me.
