Darn the bad luck. I can't say that I blame you.

Don't forget a range report.

The Springfield Loaded full size, I posted earlier in this forum, was a gift from my sons and I really did'nt want it, since I already had the Wilson CQB, but since it was from them....of course I took it gladly. We were recently in a gunstore I frequent and I saw one I really fell in love with. It was a Champion...but unlike the one I previously had. This one was stainless and had a bushed barrel instead of the bull barrell in my other Champion. It was gorgeous, new in box with all the papers and I sighed. Found out it was manufactured in 1992 and was part of an estate sale. Never shot but in a safe for years.
My sons were with me and thay saw my excitement and said....."Hey Dad....why not make a trade with the Loaded we gave you". I said "No, I could not get rid of anything you two gave to me". They said...."Think of this as the one we gave to you and enjoy it. We would feel better knowing you have what you really want." So I traded the Loaded and took the Champion home:

Here's a MKIV/70 in stainless that my sons and I use quite a bit. This one is going to be over in the For Sale section.

But of course, Inplano: because they work reliably each and every time without expensive modifications, and without spending five minutes taking off all the safeties. They're dishwasher safe too!

Always did ny own mods and it only costs for the parts. Jealous you can't modify your "top shelf only" dishwasher safe toy? Let me know when your Glock has been around for 95 years. HaHa never make it.

Hey PS, here's a real gun.

Notice the name on the slide! Kinda hard to see, but it reads RANDALL!

But inplano, why ever would I wish to modify perfection? Tell you what, Inplano, let's bet $1,000 on whether or not the Glocks are still around 95 years from now. One condition only: I get to hold the stakes.

Y'know, we have a "Pic's of your 1911's" thread because people are likely to have 1911s that look different from each other.

A "Pic's of your GLOCK's" thread, on the other hand, would get boring after the second picture, as they'd all look the same.

Again, GLOCK makes a fine firearm. I just find it BORING, much like the constant harping from the GLOCK-heads.

Now John, you must realize that the true purpose in life for the Glockies is to keep all you 1911 fanatics more or less honest. There do exist, you see, other handgun designs than the immortal 1911. Alas, you are correct about one aspect of the Glocks though. They are kinda boring; practical, but very boring. I suppose I'll just have to post pictures of my own 1911s this weekend, merely to show I'm not prejudiced.

OK, I'll rattle PS's cage a little too...
So when a Glock KABOOMS, is that just a failure of the "tupper seal"?????

I even found this headline...It's real...

Pity the poor 1911 fanatic,
He cannot believe there's a new automatic,
A pistol that works with exceptional ease,
No whistles and bells that are sure to displease,
A frame that is made of a rustless material,
Ergonomics so perfect they're nearly ethereal,
Old shooters wake up, though it must be a shock,
The world has moved on, it's time for a GLOCK!
