Default My New Toy

Allrighty everyone,
Here's my new toy. I decided against the High Standard and the RIA versions and decided to get the Springfield GI version. Althouh i did trade in my S&W Sigma 9mm, but i wasnt shooting it that much and it had a wickedly long and hard trigger pull. Its nothing fancy but it will get the job done.

yeah its the Springfield Armory GI .45. It is, as touted by the Springfield website, "nearly identical to the service pistol issued to US troops during WWII". I had a chance to go shoot it today and it is fun to shoot. I'm enjoying it

Spiffy!! Put you a bit of white out on those vintage sights and they'll be a bit easier to pick up.

They continue to set the pole higher, very nice straight up----as designed.
My problem, like others...... That factory hammer and short grip safety will simply eat the web of my hand to pieces.

I normally will shoot with gloves on so I guess that has saved my hands from some wear and tear.

Terrific, TTU. SoMo gave me one for a wedding present. It shoots well and I have no complaints. Springfield makes a fine side arm for all purposes.

I did have the factory open up the port and change the sites to 3-dot since my vision is not as good as you youngsters!!!!!

Nice, I especially like the OD green as that is almost exactly the same color as my truck
