Default First Conceal Carry Gun

Hi I'm gunna be 21 soon. Was lookin for some ideas on a good conceal carry gun between 300-600. Something in 9mm 40cal or 38 spl. Any suggestions and reasoning? I've been looking at the Ruger sp101 and S&W 990L

If you are going to go automatic I would pick one of the mini Glocks. Your cabliber choice. If you go for a revolver, S&W J frame, Ruger sp101, Taraus , are all good guns. I would pick the 357 so you could shoot both 38spl. and 357. I tell you before hand, shooting a 357 in one of those small guns is a hand full.

Fullsize I'd say Beretta 92F / Compact I'd say Walther P99 .40S&W

If you like 9mm pistols, you might consider the Steyr. They run about $400 and are excellent handguns. Overall though, I must agree with Wolf. You can't beat the mini Glocks, 26 (9mm), 27 (.40 S&W), or the 33 (.357 Sig).

I would recommend one of the glock mid size the 19 or 30. Your SP101 is a good choice but get the .357 so you can carry either the .38 or .357 rds.
