10/22T has a .920 barrel, heavy contour, no taper.
If your thinking stock there are after market stocks for the with a .920 barrel channel. If there is a .925 it would be after market Ya gotta love the 10/22 buy one then throw all the parts way except the receiver and build your own rifle

Not exactly addressing your question, but my factory stock 10-22T stainless barrel is very accurate and routinely shoots sub MOA at 50 yds off a simple rest.

I've got a 10/22T with the blued barrell simiar to the above. The only mods are a Clark trigger kit and a Clark thumb hole stock - not quite a radical as the above pic. Sweet gun, actually can best my Kimber a lot of the time!

Jerri, my 18yo, wants a 10/22 customized similar to Ryan's.
When budget allows, we're going to the LGS to pick up the base 10/22. Boyd's has a special with a heavy barrel and a thumbhole stock for a decent price. Then it's the bipod and scope. |

Mine is not all that wild or extream... All I have in it is a trigger group w/quick mag release, stock, and barrel. I love that it shoots 1 ragged hole at 50yrds and will consistant pop cans at 200yrds. But that is nothing compared to my marlin model 60. It is plain jane with a scope and it will out shoot the 10-22.

I'm thinking about getting the blued 10/22T for Christmas. I like the stock barrels on these guns, and I also like the laminated wood Ruger stock they come with, the only thing I plan to add is a good scope, and the only thing I "might" change out on it is the trigger group, but I plan to give the stock trigger a chance to break in, and see what it can do before I tinker with the works.
My question is.....what brand and model scopes are you 10/22 guys bolting down on these rifles. The range I shoot at is relegated to 100 yards, so I need a scope that'll give my old eyes good enough vission out to 100 Yds. to see (and hit) a golf ball size target.

The scope in the picture is a 4-12x40 bushnell from wally-world. $67.99 special. Works great for me.

ryan_marine,
Everyone can outshoot this old Goat.........But I try hard............ When I get done putting together this piece of junk ( all parts from anywhere I can get them) I hope it outshoots my Ruger 10-20 Target. It's not going to be pretty like the Target.............But I think and hope it will outshoot it when I'm done with it.............. Then maybe .................... ![]() |
