Default Anyone from Tuscon, AZ?

I am contemplating a week long trip to Tuscon, AZ around the first week of October.

Can anyone recommend a pistol range and/or rifle range there that is nice? Indoor or outdoor, both pistol and rifle or just one or the other but must be open mid week. One of each is OK too.

The reason for the trip is to go to the vintage camera show being held that weekend and visit with friends.

Are there any "must see" places or gun shops there?

I haven't been there in a long time but there used to be a public range on "A" mountain on the west side of Tucson.
It was free and you couild shoot anything.

Yep still there I goggled it

Rifle and Pistol Range
The rifle and pistol range is for target practice only. Targets are available for purchase. Automatic weapons and shotguns are prohibited. Range distances are 25, 50, and 100 yards. A range attendant is on site, and paper targets are available for sale. In the event that there is a question regarding a weapon or its use, the rangemaster's decision is final. For your safety and service, a rangemaster is on duty whenever the range is open. All person must register prior to shooting. Fees are $4.00 per shooter, per day. There is no water at this site.

When I lived in AZ, anywhere off the hi-way was a shooting range. I think everyone in AZ shoots.

If they don't, they should.

I was one of the first 500 ccw permits issued when AZ passed the law back in.. .. .. 96?....97?
