That's a non sequitur (and an embarrassing one, at that!). The nexxus between brilliance/BS and inanimate objects escapes me completely, but I'm sure you've got it all figured out in your head.

Thanks for the good advice of not buying something I don't like. I'm gonna use that one and share it with others.

I hope you don't mind, but me and others here are going to continue to share commentary about the negatives of Glock's. That is, with your permission of course.

you do what you feel your time is worth. to knock someone's choice of weaponry because you don't like it seems childish. you have my permission to display your ignorance to your own satisfaction. the fact your choice of firearms does not fit the needs of everyone in the world is something else i'm sure escapes you completely. glocks are here, they sell, and there are people that like them. get over it and post something of value.

Sh*t happens. (There's a reason we are advised to wear eye protection; no firearm is unable to explode.)

The Glock kaboom problem is due to case failure or excessive barrel pressure.

Brass. Handgun brands, to include Sigs, have failed (kaboom) because of cheap practice ammo with weak brass. Look up American Ammunition, which has up to a 25% fracture rate in some LOTS.

Pressure. If people manage to blow up Redhawks, how can anyone be surprised when auto-pistol reloaders manage to do the same?? An old (kinda senile) skeet shooter on a range I used to attend blew up his Rem1100; one round pushed shoot a few feet (just a primer) and a while later the forearm blasted of in pieces (double charged shotshell).

I see M16's blow up all the time but I never see anyone bashing Colt. I see M249's and M240's go up too often but nobody bashes FN. I had a soldier almost lose his leg when an M2 exploded top to bottom....

The first thing to check when a weapon system has catastrophic failure: find out what the operator was doing; further investigation normally unnecessary.

I really should get out of general discussion more often...

I like my Glocks. Period.
I ain't gonna argue about it because most people on the 1911 side just like to argue for the sake of auguing....

Sorry we're hurting your feelings so much. It's painful to own Glock's and be reminded that they aren't the magic wands that some jihadists (present company excepted, of course

) pronounce with absurd frequency.

If you don't like what's being said here (ya gotta grow up - it's just words) go to another thread and don't return. Simple, huh?!

US military and most police forces use the Beretta 92. UK spec ops use the GLOCK 17, but then again the UK also uses the damned SA80. Maybe who uses it and the record of their other weapons choices could reflect upon the capabilities of the GLOCK? Personally I'll take a Beretta, it seems to feel much nicer in my hand (but then that's just personal preference at that point).

NOTE: the exception of the US spec ops are the SEAL teams, they use the Smith & Wesson 340 .357mag.
