Pre-89 Valmet Hunter in .243, absolutely mint, with Harris bipod. None on auction. I'm figuring $1200. What do you think?

It would have to be 89 or pre, 89 was the last year of them. 1200 seems alittle steep for the 243.......308 is the real winner in this design and a 06 is even rarer. Very slick hunting or paper rig. It`s one of those niche guns, but being that slick, it could bring it to the right buyer. Some got out with the 24" barrel instead of the 20".......the 24" being the king.... LTS

The Hunter in this area was never a good seller guess it looked too much like a fancy stocked AK. The last ones I seen was about 3 yrs ago sold for $600 ea, one 243 other 308 ANIB at a gunshop. Just saw a Valmet 412 3 bbl set, 30-06/30-06 w/scope and 2 12 O-U 28"-30" and the guy was asking $1000. May have to look into it deeper. I sole a scoped double 30-06 5 or 6 years ago for $1500
