Turns out someone painted over the satin chrome receiver! It's all cleaned up now and is probably a $600 to $800 gun........

Oh yeah, and not for sale!!!

And remember that little Savage 22 I bought, the one covered with the nice brown patina, the model 29..........

well it looks like the serial number was lower than I thought, seems it was made in 1929 and ya know what that means, it's a first year production!

Some collector will be hot on this one..........
